What comes into your mind when you come across these beautiful sketches?
Daniela Carvalho is a talented, Peruvian illustrator living in Spain. I have probably spent the last month visiting her blog and other creative networks.
The thing I love about drawings, is that you can create a masterpiece with just one item… A pencil. You don’t have to be good at Art in order to create a spectacular masterpiece. Art (for the artist) is mental escapism. NOTHING needs to make sense to the public. Everything will always makes sense to the artist. Painting, drawing…our medium…is like our diaries.
Art is a way of expressing our emotions. We “paint” the emotions, as a writer would write the words.

Fact: Did you know that Marc Jacobs is the Creative Director of Diet Coke?
Earlier this week, Diet Coke released a collection of images, commercials, and Can designs from its partnership with 49 year old Marc Jacobs.
Diet Coke, released a collection of Stéphane Sednaoui-lensed print images which make Marc Jacobs look like a weight lifter. Jacobs is seen to be wearing a black shirt and kilt, as he opens giant versions of Diet Coke Bottles while Ginta Lapina places herself on top. Man I admire the creativity and quality in these images.
Anyway, the commercial features the same three young women who starred in the first Diet Coke video, which also featured a shirtless Marc Jacobs in a Shopping mall booth. This time we see the models hop into the booth with Marc Jacbos, trying on clothes from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s — the same three decades that inspired each bottle and can design.
These Jeffery Campbell ‘Go Away’ shoes are a 3 in 1 pair of shoes: ‘Amazing, spectacular and distinct!’. You could combine them with so many different pieces of clothing and get a mixed variety of styles. At first, I was very curious to see if they were uncomfortable or not, but the result was different to the one I was expecting. Surprisingly, they fit PERFECTLY and are easy to walk in!

I Love Ugly - March Collection ‘13.
I Love Ugly are proud to announce the release of their newest collection. Man I love the brand and what they’ve brought to their fans. I remember a few months back when I bought my first pair of Zepsys. Once I had them on, it created a really distinct look with the rest of my clothing. The quality of the pants as well as the good reviews left me wanting to get a pair.
The company has created packages for rappers like Jay Z and A$AP Rocky to wear whilst touring last year. Everyone is becoming even more familiar with the brand!
The new collection is now available online for purchase and in their New Zealand stores tomorrow 7th March. Mt. Eden, Department Store (Level two) & Wellington.
This Spring, Nike is preparing to release another detailed print on the SB Janoski’s. Here we see a nice leafy print taking over most of the SB Stefan Janoski’s upper, with a combination of black and white accents.
Once worn in, Stefan Janoskis are the comfiest things ever, and they have great support and grip, making them great to skate in. Could this be your next pair of Janoskis?
RIHANNA X GIVENCHY
The “Pour It Up” singer took to her instagram to share with her fans a very special gift she recieved. Rihanna shares with us a dope t-shirt that features a painted image of herself, courtesy of Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci. The t-shirt mixes up some of Givenchy’s past collections with similar features from their Fall 2013 collection, making this one hell of a present!

Thats so far away!

Ahh yea! The self-proclaimed pretty motherf*cker features in Mr Porter’s upcoming Music issue which launches tomorrow, 26th Febuary. In the five-page editorial, he reps some of his favourite labels including Givenchy, Ann Demeulemeester, Rick Owens, Jil Sander and Margiela.
Many are saying how A$AP Rocky is one of Kanye West’s biggest rivals in the fashion world. Others find it strange to see the NY born rapper wearing high end brands.
Take a look at the photos above for a little sample of what to expect from his interview!
Singer Chris Brown has been on the Omnistyle radar over the last couple of weeks. First an all white Lanvin suit at the Grammy’s, and now a fresh Leopard Print blazer courtesy of Angelo Galasso at the Oscars.
Styled by Ugo Mozie, Brown is also seen wearing Thom Browne glasses and shoes by Alberta Ferretti.
These fresh denim jackets are an essential for anybody’s wardrobe this summer. Supreme’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection have no doubt made an impression on me, with this jacket being my favourite from the collection. Standing out from most with a distinctive paisley print, this campus jacket screams ‘DOPE!’.
Dover Street Market reopened their London branch with a brand new artistic theme. The multi- level clothing store closed down for a few days as they redecorated all of the floors in the building. I went into the store last week to find manikins coated with different coloured patterns and minimalistic interior designs on other floors. I later found out that the owner of DSM (Rei Kawakubo), collaborated alongside Hermes to create ‘Comme Des Carres’, which explained part of the new transformation within the ground floor. I have always been a fan of interior design and Dover Street Market has always been up there for me.
The good news just keeps on getting better; On February the 15th A.P.C. began showcasing their limited edition and special collaboration collections in the basement level of DSM. Which reminds me; I recently came across a wild camouflaged A.P.C. jacket which I MUST add to my wish list items.
The newly renamed label, Saint Lauren, redecorated the third floor in Dover Street Market with a cool space themed interior design. I still dislike the name change, just like many others as I have always loved originality in clothing brands. I guess we’ll have to see how the brand continues to progress over the next few months with its new logo.
